Prepare for Travel Delays
Build continuity around a specific travel day. Verify live facts; do not rely on remembered schedules, border rules, or compensation policies.
Normalise the itinerary
Ask for dated segments, local time zones, operators, booking relationships, terminals or stations, check-in and boarding cutoffs, baggage path, destination transport, accommodation, medication, mobility, dependents, connectivity, payment, and insurance.
Rewrite every segment in local date and time. Mark separate tickets, terminal changes, immigration, security, baggage reclaim and recheck, and the last practical onward service.
Audit the buffers
For each connection, list processes the traveller must complete and the evidence used for timing. Never call a connection safe solely because scheduled arrival precedes departure.
Protect critical access
Keep verified documents, medication, keys, payment, contacts, and one essential change personally accessible. Save tickets where permitted, itinerary, addresses, maps, operator policies, and independently verified contact routes offline.
Write failure branches
Use DISRUPTION-PLAYBOOK.md, then compress the selected branches into OFFLINE-TRAVEL-BRIEF.md.
Set explicit points to recheck current operator and government information before departure and during the journey.
Do not guarantee entry, boarding, compensation, or connection feasibility. Prioritise safety, documents, medication, shelter, and communication before reimbursement administration.
